St. Lawrence Market was one of the first places we went out to explore during our first six months of living in Toronto – and is one of our favorite spots in the city to this date. I had read recommendations on multiple blogs about this public market even before moving to the city and was excited to explore once we were here. With a variety of restaurants, artisans and specialty food vendors, there’s a lot to do at the St Lawrence Market. It offers a unique and lively atmosphere of an authentic farmers market, everything is highly appetizing and I love how photogenic this place is!
Fun fact: This foodie heaven was named as the best food market in the world by National Geographic in 2012 and is definitely a must visit spot when in Toronto.
What you’ll find: Locally grown produce, freshly baked goods, gourmet cured meats, specialty cheeses, spices, soups, sandwiches, coffee and international foods.
What we love eating/buying: Eating fish at Buster’s Sea Cove, tasting & buying mustard from Kozlik’s Canadian Mustard, picking up a croissant from one of the many amazing bakeries and grabbing a freshly roasted coffee at Everyday Coffee.
Tip: Go when you’re hungry! 🙂
